Summer time!
Summer is here!
Even though Kansas summers get ridiculously hot and humid, we love this time of year. We enjoy being outside, going to splash pads, running around in the parks, going on nature walks, spending time in the garden, and anything else we can think of.
One of the children’s favorite activities so far this season has been turning our cellar door into a slide. Watching them have so much fun sliding down the door and running back up fills me with joy. My sisters and I used to do the exact same thing when we were little so watching them experience it and enjoy it as much as we did is just amazing.
We also have enjoyed our bubble machines! When the kids are full of energy, I take the portable speaker outside, turn on some jams, and power on the bubble machines. They shake their little booties and run through the bubbles so fast just to turn around and do it again.
With all the fun in the sun, our kids burn extremely easily. Our first summer as parents we just bought a sunscreen that we typically bought not thinking about if Kaison would react to it or not. Well Kaison reacted to it. He just has sensitive skin so finding a sunscreen that wouldn’t make him break out in little red bumps was trial and error. We finally found a brand called “Earth Mama”. This is a mineral sunscreen that has worked for all my kids. We highly recommend this brand if you’re looking for a cleaner, sensitive sunscreen.
There are so many activities that we have planned this summer that I decided to make a list to share with you guys! Feel free to download it and pin it to your fridge. Here’s to a fun Summer with littles!
